Carolina: "When we unite and we see what we can be, reflected on other people who have achieved the success that we want for ourselves, then we get stronger as a community."
Carolina: "We need to be seen, we need to be heard and to be taken into account and to be brought to the table. If they don't let us sit at the table, then we bring our own chairs, our duffel bags, whatever it is. Just sit there and be part of the conversation and create allyships."
Carolina: "To me, education is fundamental for the growth of anyone, of any human being. It's not only what you learn from the books, but the exposure that you get to what other people are thinking, to ideas, to connections. It's another way of networking, right? It's connecting to those future leaders."
Carolina: "We still need to show who we are not only to those who don't know much about our culture and who we are, but also to ourselves, to our own Hispanic brothers and sisters. Because there's a lack of ownership of our voices. There's a lack of representation in the sense that we don't believe in ourselves, we don't believe that we're capable of great things, we have been raised to be quiet."
